Frontispiece with 6 Arms of Buccleuch and his Principal Lieutenants ca. 1596. 2nd frontispiece with elaborate emblem of the Polwarth family. Dedication, Introduction, Appendices, Index. Loosely inserted are 2 leafs of Corrections and Additions and 2 leafs with crests, tattered and sunned around edges. Cover in black cloth imitating leather structure.T.e.g.
The book is tight and clean, with just occasional hints of foxing. Front cover with gilt embossed arms of Buccleuch repeated, gilt title of spine mostly worn off, spine sunned.
