Printed at The Golden Cockerel Press on deckled paper. Titles in red. Amusing little gossipy, in the past considered "scandalous" stories about : The Court of Henri IV, The Court of Louis XIII., The Salon Bleu. Court, City & Country in the Reign of Louis XIV. Incl. Marg. de Valois, de Conti, de Bassompierre, Delorme, de Sévigny, N. de Lenclos, Cardinal Retz, Mdme de Castelnau, etc.
Small light finger smudge on prelim, o/w clean, without foxing or, name; 3 corners a bit bruised, tiny scrape on leather, faint, inoffensive lightening of spine. Partial minimal wear of front spine edge. Very attractive copy.
