Nice early edition with charming illustrations, some full page, and illustrated chapter Initials (all engravings). Red cloth over board with gilt titles and decor and blind tooling, front cover and spine.
A very young ownership with cartoon signing across the dark green end papers. Spine title partially dull, head and foot of spine frayed, spine sunned, cover lightly soiled. Some pencil marking in the catalogue section at the end, otherwise the interior is clean, binding firm, very good for this age of a children's book.
