First edition, first printing, with A on colophon page, 1940 on title page. Natural colour cloth with black embossed signature on front cover, red spine title label. Only part of dust jacket laid in.
Small owner's stamp on front paste-down. A strip of binding glue bleeding through inside both panels, otherwise a fine, clean, firm copy. Of the dust jacket is only the tatte front panel, flap with price $ 2.75, 3/4 of the spine, and upper corner of back panel left.
